An epic night filled with high energy performances, incredible lights, and top-tier musical artistry from both local and international artists, unfolded at the BHIM Festival 2023, hosted in Accra Sports Stadium, one of the largest sporting arenas in Ghana with a forty-thousand seat capacity.

The multi-faceted star, Stonebwoy, brought his A-game, astounding an immense crowd at the historic venue.

This was a defining moment not only for Stonebwoy, fondly known as 1GAD, but also for music in Ghana, in Africa, and on a global scale. It underlined the colossal strides made by African music, particularly the kind influenced by the vibrant sights and sounds of the Caribbean.

The stage setting in Accra Sports Stadium went pitch dark, the venue plunged into darkness, illuminated solely by an ocean of mobile phone torchlights waved rhythmically by the expectant audience.

In the eerie silence and near darkness, anticipation gripped the stadium as a crack formed on the ground under the stage. Suddenly, a platform started rising slowly.

On it stood Stonebwoy, his grand entry captivating the already hyped audience, creating an extraordinary atmosphere that would set the tone for the rest of the evening.

Basked in the dazzling lights and the rapt attention of forty-thousand strong crowd, Stonebwoy unleashed a thrilling display of musical talent and energetic performance.

He donned an extravagantly crafted costume, exuding artistic flamboyance, blending perfectly with the glitz and glamour of the night. This captivating attire further magnified the artist's stage presence and charisma, its texture, reflecting the vibrant lights illuminating the stadium.

Stonebwoy kick-started the musical journey of the night by performing the catchy beats of Manodzi, featuring the internationally acclaimed, multi-Grammy award-winning artist, Angelique Kidjo.

Supported by sophisticated lighting designs and a troupe of skilled dancers, the stadium transformed into a melting pot of cultures. The frenzied crowd erupted into deafening cheers, echoing the lyrics in perfect sync, generating an infectious and ecstatic atmosphere that spread like a wave throughout the stadium.

As Stonebwoy delved further into his performance, he revealed tracks from his chart-busting album, 5th Dimension. Life and Money, African Systems, Forget, My Sound, More Of You, Into The Future, Secre Lover, Ava Wum Lo - the tunes filled the air, and the crowd swayed, spellbound and lost in the reverberating music.

Stonebwoy’s electrifying second set kicked off with his 2019 mega-hit Kpokeke. No one stayed in their seats. A communal energy spread through the audience, who started grooving and swaying along with the rhythms, building anticipation for the grand finale.

In a beautiful symphony of visual and auditory splendor, the grand finale featured local artists sharing the stage with the 1GAD, resulting in one of the most unforgettable music experiences for the fans. Jamaican artists Jahmiel and 10Tik marked their first performances in Ghana, enriching the audience with new elements, flavors, and perspectives.

A hypnotizing and ethereal spectacle of creative ingenuity took center stage. Every detail of the lighting and staging interplayed flawlessly to construct a compelling, immersive atmosphere that enhanced the impact of each performance, capturing the crowd's imagination.

Near the show's end, Stonebwoy shared a fantastic piece of news, announcing that the BHIM Concert would transform into a multi-day cultural and musical event from next year onwards, a sure treat for his massive fan base and music enthusiasts across Ghana and beyond.
